"Mark saved me a lot of money on my insurance. He also took the time to explain to me exactly what I needed to adequately cover my family and my businesses. I now carry life, home, car, and business liability insurace with Mark. Mark is a great guy and I would definitely recommend him if you're in the market for insurance." -Paul Jones, Elements Laser Spa, Austin, TX
"...depending on the agent, they may try to sell you 'junk' you don't need or leave you under covered... oftentimes, just getting the cheapest basic coverage from company X 'is not the best' for the policy holder in the end.
For instance, take the recent hail storm in North Austin. Mark was on the phone with all of his clients affected and was able to get them quicker evaluations and rental cars because he has relationships with his clients, unlike some random call center person..." -Sean Hanna, Source Wellness Center, Westlake Hills / Austin, TX
"...Buying insurance is like buying a bike. Having someone in the business that knows how to help you evaluate what you want and what you want to spend is invaluable, as long as you can trust them to have your interests at heart. I know Mark personally, and he's that kind of guy." -Sean Hanna, Source Wellness Center, Westlake Hills / Austin, TX
"Mark is an exceptional insurance agent who is passionate about providing the best possible coverage to protect you and your loved ones! He is remarkably knowledgeable about the various policies that are offered and is able to explain all the processes in a way that makes everything a little more understandable. Mark built a unique relationship with me that was unlike any I have ever had with an insurance agent..." - Andrew Yap, Austin, TX
"...This relationship was much more personal, sincere, and genuine! I thought of him as more of an adviser who helped guide me towards some of the most significant choices I have had to make about ensuring my future. He not only taught me about the best ways to protect myself, my loved ones, and my assets, but he also taught me a lot about life! I would recommend Mark to anyone who is looking for the smartest way to secure their future!" - Andrew Yap, Austin, TX
"Have you ever hit a deer here in Texas? Pretty traumatic? Well maybe for the deer, but for me, it was one of the easiest and quickest problems solved, all due to Mark ... Get yourself some piece of ... mind." -Doug LeBelle, Austin, TX
"We bought insurance through Mark and since then he has always been there for us. It is a huge thing that you have somebody who cares for you and you know he will be there for you when things happen. He will work hard to find the best rate for you as he did for us. I definitely recommend him to anyone who is considering a new insurance agent." -Yoon Schaefer, Wedding Photographer, Round Rock, TX
"If you're looking for insurance then you have to talk to Mark. He'll be completely honest with you and help you make the right choices and probably save some money too. When we needed insurance, I gave him a call and he came over to our house and walked us through choosing the right insurance for our situation. He was super friendly and took the time to make sure we understood everything. I've never had an agent do that before. I would highly recommend Mark and his agency. Don't hesitate to give him a call." -JustJ, Submitted through CitySearch
Texas Department of Public Safety - new traffic, and criminal laws set to go into effect Sept. 1st |

The Texas Department of Public Safety recently published the new traffic, and criminal laws set to go into effect Sept. 1st. I'm encouraged to see some great items like HB 537 & SB 61 which address seatbelts for all passengers in a vehicle including children. However, while I support awareness of cell phone usage, I am extremely surprised that there is nothing which addresses "texting" in this batch of new laws. HB 55 makes it illegal to use a wireless communication device in a school zone unless the vehicle is stopped or a hands-free device is used. Cities or counties wanting to enforce this law must post a sign at the beginning of each school zone to inform drivers that using a wireless communications device is prohibited and the operator is subject to a fine. It is a defense to prosecution if the operator was making an emergency call. I like this bill because it addresses the need to pay attention while driving in a school zone, and I guess "texting" is covered because of the implied prohibition of using the wireless communication device for anything except an emergency phone call. However, I would really like to see "texting" specifically addressed in a much broader form. I do not support banning cell phone usage for talking, and I know there is research to support the opposite opinion along with horribly tragic stories - however, you can make this same argument for anything which diverts your attention from the road - changing a radio station, eating a burger, drinking a soda, etc. I think, though, if a responsible adult is not taking their eyes off the road and does not "dial" or use the keypad while using the phone, that carrying on a conversation via the cell phone is no less distracting than having a conversation with a passenger in the vehicle. But, let me be clear - Texting is an extreme form of distraction, and this type of behavior needs to be addressed immediately. I think it is crazy that folks are out there, driving a vehicle that weighs thousands of pounds at 50 to 70 miles per hour and they choose to text on their mobile device. People need to wake up and realize that their next twitter update is not worth their life! And since our lawmakers have decided not to address this in the latest batch of laws, we need to be responsible and choose to do the right thing and not endanger ourselves or others, just so we can type a message on a small keyboard. If you need to get a message out badly enough that you would take your eyes off the road to type - CALL INSTEAD! If you cannot call, wait until you are safely out of your vehicle before you text or read a message sent to you. If you persist in your choice to "text" while driving, I suggest you get in touch with me, so we can put a life insurance policy in force for you. Please do NOT "text" while driving. |
